Al Rayyan coach Michael Laudrup spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 12 match against Al Khor.

“It’s vital to resume our campaign after the break with a win. We have three games in January and, after that, it will be too tight a schedule for us in February, March and April with the AFC Champions League engagements too.

“I am happy that we won a lot of games in the QNB Stars League as well as QSL Cup from September to November. I hope the second half of the season will also be good for us.

“Al Khor are a tricky side. We beat them 4-2 in the first phase, but when we were dominating and winning the game, they suddenly came back into the match. In effect, every league match is important.

“We have no plans to change any player in the current transfer window. Rumours are part and parcel of football. I have been experiencing it for long. It happens not only in Qatar, but in the entire world.

“If I talk about changing a particular player while we prepare for a game, what will he think? I always focus on the players available in the squad,” said Laudrup, who added that he was happy staying with Al Rayyan.
