<p>French coach Laurent Banide has decided to give his players a break from the evening training on Sunday to allow players to watch the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup between France and Croatia.</p><p> </p><p>Sunday's pre-season training, however, was limited to the morning session only, the club said.</p><p> </p><p>Earlier Umm Salal played a draw against NK Celje, a third division side.</p><p> </p><p>Basel Zaidan, Adil Rhaili, Bilal Mohammed, Ismail Ibrahim, Nasirr Al Nasser, Ismail Mahmood and Yannick Sagbo were seen in action in the first half.</p><p> </p><p>In the second half, coach Banide brought in Issa Shaaban, Abdul Aziz Al Ahiri, and Mohammed for some much needed practice.</p><p> </p><p>Umm Salal team will continue their pre-season training camp.</p><p> </p><p>Coach Banide will use the remaining days for three more friendlies.</p><p> </p><p>Last season Umm Salal finished the season in fifth spot behind Al Duhail, Al Sadd, Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa.</p><p> </p><p>In the new season's opening clash, Umm Salal play Al Sailiya on August</p><p>4 at the Khalifa International Stadium.</p>
