Al Kharaitiyat coach Nassif Al Bayawi spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Shahania.

“We had started preparing for the Al Shahania game right after our victory over Al Khor. Whatever the result of our last match (lost to Al Sadd 0-6), we are motivating our players as we bank on our positives.

“Conceding six goals against Al Sadd is not a big deal. We had a great chance to score in the very first minute of the match. The penalty did not help our cause either. We mostly played well, but lost concentration at times.

“Some of our players have recovered from their injuries and I do hope they are all ready for the match against Al Shahania which will not be easy for us.

“Maybe, we lose points in big matches and can look to gain many against not-so-tough opponents. Al Shahania have taken in many new players, but my team is determined to win.

“Our ambition is realistic - stay in the top flight. Rest all will be a bonus for us. I cannot accept if we win only one or two games in a league competition,” said Al Bayawi.
