Newly promoted QSL side Al Shahania started their preseason training camp in Germany on a high, defeating a Darmstadt youth side 3-1. Goals from new signing Khaled Gouma, Fahad Khalfan and a Nabeel Anwar penalty ensured a comfortable victory for new head coach Fathi Al-Jabal.<br />

In other news Shahania have also revealed the details of a number of friendly matches at their preseason training camp. Next up for the Orxyes will be a tie against Arabian Gulf league side Al Wasl on Wednesday the 10<sup>th</sup> of August.<br />

Whilst two further matches against German opposition have been penciled in on the 16<sup>th</sup> of August against Rot Weiss Darmstadt and on the 19<sup>th</sup> of August against Bundesliga third division side Mainz 05.<br />

A further two games are slated for the 22<sup>nd</sup> and 25<sup>th</sup> of August, although the opponents have not been formally announced by the club. Shahania will then head back to Doha, where they will begin to prepare to face the reigning QSL champions Al Rayyan in their first game of the 2016/2017 QSL season.<br />
