QSL presents the team of the week for the previous round 25 of the 2016/2017 season. All statistics provided for the team of the week have been provided by STATS, the official statistical partner of the QSL.<br />

This week we have four players from Lekhwiya, who claimed their fifth QSL crown in seven seasons after a last gasp win over Al Ahli.  Whilst two players from Al Sadd made the cut, despite just loising out on the QSL title with a 2-2 draw against Al Sailya. The goalkeeper for this round’s Team of the Week is Al Kharaitiyat stopper <strong>Ahmed Soufiane</strong> who was inspired form as the Thunders registered their fourth win in five QSL matches with a 2-0 victory over already relegated Muaither. <br />

Soufiane is joined with four defenders, who represented by four different QSL teams. At left-back with have Qatari defender <strong>Abdulkarim Hassan</strong> from Al Sadd and he is joined by Lekhwiya right-back <strong>Mohammed Tresor</strong>. In central defense we have the pairing of Al Arabi captain<strong> Boualem Khoukhi</strong> and Al Gharafa’s goal scoring defender <strong>Almahdi Ali</strong> who complete the quartet.<br />

In midfield, two Lekhwiya players get a starting place after sealing the QSL title with a win over Al Ahli. Qatar international midfielder <strong>Karim Boudiaf</strong> is joined by South Korean midfielder <strong>Nam Tae Hee</strong> who struck in the 95<sup>th</sup> minute to confirm the title for the Red Knights. The midfield trio is completed by Spanish midfielder <strong>Xavi Hernandez</strong>, who struck a fine free-kick to open Al Sadd’s scoring against Al Sailiya.<br />

In attack, Lekhwiya’s Qatari winger <strong>Ismael Mohammed</strong> gets the nod on the right wing. Al Kharaitiyat’s Moroccan stirker <strong>Rachid Tiberkanin</strong>e is given a place on the left side of attack following his goal in the Thunders 2-0 win over Muaither. Whilst <strong>Yannick Sagbo</strong> gets the nod to lead the line following his two goals as Umm Salal drew with Al Wakrah 2-2.
