Al Khor coach Nassif Al Bayawi spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Arabi.

“We benefited from the break. We suffered throughout the season and are eager to improve our position in the standings with a win. A good result will give us a morale booster before the Emir’s Cup.

“We played a friendly match with Al Ahli during the break which, I think, was timely because we were under great pressure after a lot of hard work.

“The players took the training sessions seriously and some of the injured players are raring to go now. We are thinking only about the Al Arabi match.

“Al Arabi are a big team, that strengthened its ranks in the January transfer window. They are well served by Khalfan Ibrahim, who has helped them achieve a series of victories.

“We are all ready for the game and that is important to us. Our ambition was great even though the circumstances did not allow us to occupy a better position.

“My experience with Al Khor is good after I joined during the winter transfer. We hope to end the season well,” said Al Bayawi.
