Umm Salal coach Mahmoud Jaber spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Arabi.

“We are trying to be in good shape ahead of the match against Al Arabi. I wish we get back to the winning path. All my players are ready for the game. Only Ismail Ebrahim, who received a red card during our drawn match with Al Ahli in the last round, will be absent.

“It is true that our players have been missing some opportunities, but I am not unduly worried about it as long as they create chances. I will be worried only in two situations — when my wards do not create opportunities and when my goalkeeper is under pressure. However, we keep creating chances aplenty.

“We still have eight matches to go in the league competition and we have many points to earn. I don’t believe in competing with Al Sailiya for the fourth position as things can change even in the last week. But as things stand now, I think the battle for the fourth spot will be between us and Al Sailiya,” said Mahmoud.
