Qatar SC coach Abdullah Mubarak spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Gharafa.

“I’m just continuing the good work done at the club by my predecessor Gabriel Calderon. I’m preparing the team to win matches. And we did so against Al Kharaitiyat last week. I am sure we can do far better as the league progresses. We will fight till the end.

“Ours is a nice group of players. They are mentally and physically ready to take on Al Gharafa, who are on a high following their defeat of Al Arabi. Our players need to work a bit more on certain areas. Overall, the side has to be more organised. We have more possibilities with many good local players around.
“I work more closely with the players. It is a good sign that we scored three goals in the last match. Over time, our players will show more perseverance and commitment. When I took charge, I had set a target to stay off the relegation zone by the end of the first phase. We will now prepare harder for the second phase,” said Abdullah.
