Al Shahania assistant coach Pejman Montazeri spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 13 match against Umm Salal.

“We have a league match against Umm Salal. Neither team is in a good position in the standings, but we will give our best. We have had a good week of preparation for this match. We have a tough game against a strong team and we have to fight to win.

“I approach every match like a final, the team deserves a better position in the standings. We have earned good points in the last two matches, but we are still at the bottom of table, so we have to fight to get out of this situation,” said Montazeri.

Al Shahania player Abdullah Khaled said, “The team is ready for Umm Salal match. After finishing our preparations for Al Duhail match, we started preparing for Umm Salal.

“The players know it is a crucial match against a direct competitor to move away from the relegation zone and winning this match will give the team hope of getting back into contention.”
