Al Wakrah coach Jose Sierra spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 20 match against Qatar SC.

“The enthusiasm I have witnessed within the team since my arrival at the club, and the fantastic atmosphere surrounding the entire group, have significantly boosted our confidence and optimism about achieving the desired results in the coming period, and particularly in this 20th-round match.

“I have thoroughly analyzed our opponents, and they possess outstanding players in every position, in addition to a coach who has achieved considerable success for Qatar football. Therefore, we are well aware that overcoming this challenge requires us to exert our utmost effort throughout the entire match,” said Jose Sierra.

Al Wakrah goalkeeper Mohammed Al Bakri said, “We have a strong desire to restore the memory of victories in the league championship in order to improve our position in the standings because everyone is well aware that the current position does not match the team’s technical and physical capabilities.”
