Al Shahania assistant coach Pejman Montazeri spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 18 match against Al Rayyan.

“We are in a crucial phase of the league and the weeks are passing quickly. Every match requires complete focus and stamina. Facing Al Rayyan will be very difficult; they are a strong team with outstanding players and considerable experience, so we must be extremely cautious and prepare well both technically and physically.

“Our 2-1 victory against Al Ahli in the last round was very important for us because it restored our balance and confidence after a series of unsatisfactory results. This win gave us a significant morale boost and proved that the team is capable of getting back on track when we stick to the plan and fight until the final whistle,” said Montazeri.

Al Shahania goalkeeper Shehab Ellethy said, “Now we are fully focused on the Al Rayyan match, which is a big and difficult encounter. Al Rayyan are a strong team. We must be at the highest level of concentration and defensive discipline from the first minute to the last.

“My personal goal and the team’s goal is to keep a clean sheet as much as possible and help my teammates achieve the victory we need at this important stage of the league.”
