Al Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Arabi.

“We must approach every match with 100 per cent focus. We are playing for the three points; it is a match where we must give our best and keep our focus entirely on the task at hand.

“The match against Al Arabi will be a challenging one, as they are a team that never gives up and fights until the very last moment. They are physically strong and possess a great work ethic on the pitch. Therefore, we need to be fully focused, think only about this game and step onto the field ready to play the way we want,” said Lucescu.

Al Sadd player Guilherme Torres said, “We are heading into this phase after a period of training and we know we will be ready for the next game.

“We realize that the match against Al Arabi will be tough, but I am confident we are prepared to put up a good performance and achieve a series of positive results during this month, which features several important matches for us.”
