Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 8 match against Al Sadd.

“We are facing the best team of the last two seasons, which underscores the difficulty of this match. However, we know Al Sadd well, including all their strengths, and we hope to be fully prepared for the challenge.

“We will give our absolute best to secure the best possible result. We aim to put in a strong performance and approach the game with the same winning mentality we demonstrated in our recent match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in AFC Champions League Elite,” said Prats.

Al Shamal goalkeeper Saoud Al Khater said, “It will certainly be a difficult encounter against the reigning league champions, one of the best teams, not just this season, but over the course of the last few seasons.”
