Lusail assistant coach Ashkan Dejagah spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match against Al Ahli.

“The team is preparing well for the upcoming Al Ahli match and Lusail will be psychologically and physically ready for this encounter. The team performed well in the previous match despite losing 0-1 especially against a strong team like Al Rayyan.

“The results of the first round of Doha Bank Stars League showed how strong and close the competition is in the league, so we understand the importance of being fully prepared for a tough match against Al Ahli,” said Ashkan Dejagah.

Lusail player Ali Malallah said, “The team is ready to face Al Ahli, the goal of the match is to achieve a positive result and make up for the previous match against Al Rayyan.

“Lusail club’s start in the Doha Bank Stars League was not what we hoped for, but we are constantly improving and developing, and this was evident during the second half of Al Rayyan match. Therefore, we look forward to delivering a better performance in the upcoming Al Ahli match.”
