Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 6 match against Al Gharafa.

“Yes, this is a big and very important match for us, especially following our last outing. We need to win, we want to win, and I hope we can deliver a strong performance for ourselves and for our fans. I repeat, I believe this is a crucial match for us.

“The match against Al Gharafa will be very challenging. Every game is difficult, but facing Al Gharafa is particularly tough; we know how hard it was to beat them last season. Once again, we are aiming for a victory, we want to win again, and we are well aware of what that means to our fans. That said, they have a very strong side and I hope we can come away with the win,” said Moreno.

Al Rayyan player Otavio Monteiro said, “The team always strives to win every match and every available title. The upcoming encounter with Al Gharafa is vital for securing three points and maintaining our position at the top of league standings.”
