Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Wakrah.
“During this period, we played a QSL Cup match, which served as an opportunity to assess players who had not seen much action since the start of season. Both Ismael Bennacer and Adam Ounas played the full 90 minutes in that game, which is a positive for us.
“We are now entering a new phase of challenging matches. However, we have more options available and a squad that offers plenty of solutions.
“The players are working hard to improve upon the team’s early-season form, starting with the upcoming match against Al Wakrah, which is crucial for the team,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Amro Surag said, “The preparations went off well, especially during the break, and the entire squad is ready for the match.
“Al Wakrah are a strong, respected team with many talented players. God-willing, we are ready for the match and looking forward to securing a win.”
