Mesaimeer coach Tarik Makhnass spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Jetour League Week 4 match against Etihad Al Gharafa.
“The team played QSL Cup matches against Al Waab and Al Gharafa, putting up a strong performance, particularly in the second half. We created several scoring chances, but failed to convert them into goals. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the team and the level of play.
“Cup matches helped us acclimatize to the weather conditions, specifically the temperature and humidity, as previous Jetour League rounds were played in air-conditioned stadiums. We also played a very good friendly match against Umm Salal, where we maintained our rhythm and gave playing time to squad members who had not featured much recently. We are excited for the upcoming match,” said Makhnass.
Mesaimeer player Khalid Abdulraouf said, “We are accustomed to treating every match as a distinct objective and preparing thoroughly for it. Our goal is to win and secure the three points. As the coach said, there has been noticeable progress within the team.
“While results do not always reflect performance, the team is undoubtedly improving and establishing its identity with every match. We aim to win the upcoming encounter to gather as many points as possible and strengthen our position in the league.”
