Lusail secured their first victory of 2026-2027 Doha Bank Stars League season in emphatic fashion, beating Al Wakrah 4-0 in Week 3 at Lusail Stadium on Friday.

The convincing win lifted Lusail to four points, while Al Wakrah remained on one point and are still searching for their first victory of the campaign.

Hamidreza Firouzi opened the scoring in the 12th minute, firing a right-footed effort from the centre of the box into the top-left corner after meeting a cross from Amin Pilali.

Lusail doubled their advantage seven minutes later when Rodrigo converted from the penalty spot after Al Wakrah’s Almahdi Ali brought down the goal-bound Firouzi.

The hosts extended their lead just before half-time, with Firouzi turning provider once again as Farhad Zavoshi rifled home from a difficult angle on the left.

Lusail continued their dominance after the break, with Zavoshi completing his brace in the 57th minute to seal a memorable four-goal victory.
