QSL side Lekhwiya registered an impressive 3-0 win over AGL side Al Jazira in their 2017 AFC Champions League Group B opener at on Monday evening.<br />

Striker Yusef El Arabi was the hero for the Red Knights bagging a brace, as the Moroccan continued his goalscoring feats for his side. Djamel Belmadi’s side opened the scoring on the 11^th minute though El Arabi, nodding in a Yusef Msakni cross.  Whilst with ten minutes left to play, Yusef Msakni drilled the ball into the back of the net to all but confirm the win for his side.<br />

Lekhwiya rounded off the evening with a goal in stoppage time as El Arabi tapped in from close range from a Ali Afif cross. The victory saw the four time QSL champions climb to the top of group B.
