Al Shahania coach Jose Murcia spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“We are trying to forget the first match and focus on the next match against Al Kharaitiyat. We take it one match at a time. For us, all games are equally important, whether we play Al Duhail or Al Kharaitiyat.

“Against Al Duhail, we had our chances and even missed a penalty in the first half in which our performance was very good. We played irrespective of the reputation and quality of Al Duhail, one of the best sides in Asia.

“We have to identify our strengths and weaknesses. One thing is sure - we have a bright future. We will take the positives from the Al Duhail match.

“We are working hard to be in good shape and put up a strong fight in the QNB Stars League. Against Al Kharaitiyat, we can get three points if we play to our full potential.

“We have to improve step by step and give our 100 per cent on the field,” said Murcia.
