<p>QNB Stars League side Al Sadd announced the return of right-back Hamed Ismail from Al Arabi till the end of this season in a bid to strengthen their defence.</p><p>Hamed started his career at Al Arabi, then plied his trade with Al Rayyan and Al Sadd before his homecoming to Al Arabi recently. </p><p>The former Qatar international represented Al Rayyan for several seasons and won a number of titles with them. He also lifted the Emir’s Cup and Qatar Cup with Al Sadd.</p><p>Hamed is a versatile player who can also play in central defence and midfield, and that prompted Al Sadd to make him their first winter signing this season.</p><p>Al Sadd are second on 27 points, two behind leaders Al Duhail in the QNB Stars League, which has taken a break after its first phase and will resume in January.</p>
