QSL side El Jaish continued their preparations for their crunch round 24 match-up against Lekhwiya with a 1-0 friendly victory over Al Shamal on Tuesday evening. Sabri Lamouchi’s side prevailed thanks to a solitary goal from striker Abdulgadir Ilyas at Al Shamal stadium.<br />

The game saw the majority of the Jaish side getting a run out, aside from a handful of players who have been called up for international duty. The friendly will be a useful exercise for French coach Lamouchi, with the match giving him the opportunity to run the rule over his squad.
<h4>El Jaish will continue their preparations for their match against the current league leaders Lekhwiya on the 2^nd of April with another friendly against Qatar Gas League side Mesaimeer which is set to take place on the 26^th of March.</h4>

<h4>The soldiers are currently in fourth place in the QSL standings, and have 45 points from 23 games so far this season.</h4>
