Round 14 of the QSL season saw five players make their mark for their respective sides. Here in our regular feature we highlight the difference makers in our regular Stars of the league feature.

Al Shahania gave a debut to keeper Jassem Adel in their narrow 1-0 defeat to QSL champions Al Rayyan. Despite conceding the young keeper was the standout player for his side in what was Croatian coach Igor Štimac’s first game in charge. Štimac will be hoping for a similar assured performance from his number one when Shahania take on Muaither in round 15.

Al Sailiya attacker Mohammed Muddather is fast becoming one of his side’s most dependable players this season. The local player grabbed his fifth goal of the season, as the Peregrines defeated Al Arabi 1-0 in the match of the week. Muddather will be targeting more goals in round 15 when Sailiya take on Al Khor at home.

Qatar international defender Ibrahim Majid scored a screamer in Al Sadd’s 1-0 win over Al Kharaitiyat on Wednesday afternoon. The sweetly taken free-kick rocketed past keeper Ahmed Soufiane to give the Wolves all three points and keep the pressure on title rivals Lekhwiya in the process.

Lekhwiya youngster Moez Ali has been a regular in the stars of the league feature in recent weeks, and the Qatar youth international continued his good form in his sides 3-1 victory over Muaither.  The attacker grabbed a goal and put in a host of vital contributions as the four times QSL champions eased passed the promoted side.

Al Gharafa striker Mohammed Razak was the difference maker for the Cheetahs as they defeated Al Ahli 2-0. Razak was on hand to score a break-away second goal to confirm all three points. The second half substitute stepped up for his team, who were without key attackers in Krisztián Németh and Vladimir Weiss for the match. Razak will be aiming for a similar impact when Gharafa take on Lekhwiya in the stand out fixture of round 15.
