Phillipe Birol, the head coach of Muaither is impressed by Al Ahli’s attacking prowess, “It will be a tough game, we know this team they have many players with good quality like Yesoh, Meshall, and Mubele. I am surprised they are in this position. They have a very good attack and have scored so many goals.”

Talking about the possibility of Alain Dioko coming back to the side, Birrol added, “We are waiting for Dioko to come back. He his training now and I hope he can come back because he has played a fantastic season for Ahli before and scored around 25 goals. He is an important part of our team and we hope he comes back quickly as he lifts the team spirit and brings a lot to the team.”

“We have a big problem on the technical side but we make up for it with energy and activity on the pitch and organisation. We run more than our opponents and we work hard in training. We are difficult to beat and I hope it will be the same against Al Ahli,” added the Frenchman at the press conference on Wednesday.

Al Ahli are without a win in their last eight matches and are just above the drop zone in tenth place. The brigadiers will be gunning for a much-awaited win against a struggling opponent.

Yousef Adam, the head coach of Al Ahli, has a lot of respect for his opponents, “Muaither has an identity, they are a good team, well organised and we studied how they play. The team deserves respect because they have provided many good performances. We are making preparations to face Muaither which is a well organised team. The match will not be easy for both teams and we need to play for the victory.”

Speaking about referee decisions, Yousef Adam added, “They make mistakes just like the players and its normal. Qatar has good referees and referee’s need to improve and we need to support them.”

“I want to say that in the last game Lekhwiya enforced the game and they reached their target in the last minutes and my team should avoid conceding and they did not do that. All teams are losing from mistakes but we are making corrections in order to avoid mistakes,” added the Qatari tactician.
