Al Sailiya take on Al Sadd in round twelve of the QSL. The match will take place at the Al Sadd stadium on Friday. Sailiya are getting back their mojo after a difficult season. The Peregrines have two wins in a row and will be looking for a third against an inform Al Sadd side.

Sami Trablesi, head coach of Sailiya, says he will use whatever tools he has at his disposal, “We don’t have many players like the other clubs. So we give opportunities to the players we have. We are playing against the best teams in Qatar reinforced with one of the best players in the world, Xavi. We will see how it goes on the pitch as its kind of a challenge.”

“We will do our best against them. We play a team with thirteen goals in two games we scored thirteen goals in eleven games. But football is a different game if we change some things anything is possible. If we start with an objective and stick to it we can achieve big things. A lot of teams lost to Al Sadd with a big score. We have nothing to lose and the pressure is on them,” added the Tunisian tactician.

Speaking about his approach to the game Trabelsi added, “We will not defend against Al Sadd, we will attack. Of course, a draw is a good result but we will play to win. Last season we won against them but that doesn’t mean anything now. When we face a big team we are more motivated. Our play depends on the mentality and determination of our players.”

Al Sadd can’t stop scoring and are in top form having scored thirteen goals in their last two matches. After an 8-0 hammering of Umm Salal, the Wolves will be looking to continue their devastating attack against Al Sailiya.

Jesualdo Ferreira, the head coach of Al Sadd, spoke about the last two games and the unexpected results, “I expected to win in the last two games but I didn’t expect those results. Big results like this don’t always happen. It’s not ideal to judge Sadd, Umm Salal and Rayyan by these results. I can say we are just better than these teams because we beat them. We have prepared our team to play offensive and only by scoring you can win.”

“Our group of players is stronger than a few months ago. They know our objective. We are forgetting about the last result and we must start from the beginning. Al Sailiya are not as strong as last year but they are getting to a good level now,” added the Portuguese tactician,

Speaking about his calm demeanour on the pitch, Ferreira added, “I have to be calm I concentrate on the players and the game and if I’m frustrated the players will be frustrated. So, I need to show them I’m calm and I’m under control. The players need to know that I am playing with them.”
