The QSL’s representatives in the AFC Champions League have jetted off to Abu Dhabi in the UAE ahead of crunch fifth round matches.

QSL champions Lekhwiya will take on Al Jazira on Wednesday evening, knowing that an away win would significantly boost their chances of qualification to the knock out stages. Djamel Belmadi’s side is currently in top-spot in group B with a tally of eight points from four rounds. Lekhwiya will be looking for a repeat performance from the home match with Al Jazira, where they came out as 3-0 winners.

Al Rayyan will be looking to further underline their claim for a place in the round of 16 when they take on Al Wahda on Monday evening. The Lions are currently in second place in group D, and need a positive result in Abu Dhabi to consolidate their place in the group. Al Rayyan defeated Wahda 2-1 in their opening match of this seasons AFC Champions League, and will be aiming for more of the same on Monday.
