The Qatar Stars League has formally announced an agreement with the Foundation of Qatar Sport Arbitration (FQSA), ahead of the new 2016/2017 QSL season. The deal was signed on the sidelines of the 2016/2017 QSL league launch ceremony held in the Sheraton hotel, Doha.

Mr Ibrahim Al Mohannadi chairman of the FQSA and deputy chairman Salman Al Ansari where present at the press conference to outline the aims of the newly formed organization. “Our primary goal is to resolve any disputes between players, clubs and the league in any issues.” revealed Al Mohannadi.

The arbitration body will be able to rule on any football specific issue arising in Qatar. “This organization has strong links with both the QSL and QFA and the decision made by our organization relating to a specific case will be final” confirmed Al Ansari.

The Qatar Stars League season is set to kick off on the 16^th of September when Al Ahli takes on Al Gharafa on Thursday the 15^th of September at Al Ahli stadium.
