Al Gharafa were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Al Shahania in Week 22 of 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Monday.

The result saw Al Gharafa finish fourth with 36 points, while Al Shahania ended 11th on 21 points, avoiding direct relegation and securing a Play-Off berth.

After a quiet first half, Al Gharafa broke the deadlock early in the second period through Yacine Brahimi, who struck in the 48th minute with a fine left-footed effort from close range.

The Cheetahs looked set to claim all three points, but Al Shahania produced a dramatic late response. Francesco Antonucci netted deep into stoppage time to snatch an equaliser and deny Al Gharafa victory.

The late goal ensured the points were shared, bringing the curtain down on both sides’ league campaigns.
