Qatar SC provided a fine display of their form as they defeated Al Gharafa 2-0 in Week 18 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Thursday. 

Al Gharafa were reduced to 10 men after Seydou Sano was sent off in the 47th minute following a VAR decision. Sano had brought down a charging Faiz Selemani of Qatar SC outside the box.

Earlier, Musab Al Battat had provided Qatar SC with the lead in the 26th minute of the match, while Joao Pedro doubled it in the 66th minute.

Battat beat Al Gharafa goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar in the right corner with his shot taken after a deflection off a defender’s boot on a through cross.

Joao Pedro added the second goal for Qatar SC after sprinting a long way to beat an advancing Ababacar.

The crucial win took Qatar SC’s tally to 27 points, while Al Gharafa remained on 34 points.
