Hosts Al Duhail secured their first win in the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Elite on Monday in fine style as they defeated Shabab Al Ahli 4-1 at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.

It was a stunning victory as the UAE’s Shabab Al Ahli had come into the tie very much in form, having accumulated seven points from their earlier matches, while Al Duhail had only managed a draw from their preceding games.

Edmilson Junior (second minute), Benjamin Bourigeaud (39th minute), Adil Boulbina (57th minute) and Luis Alberto (90+2 minute) scored for Al Duhail.

Shabab Al Ahli’s only goal was scored by Breno Cascardo (42nd minute).

Al Duhail are now sixth in the table with four points from one win, a draw and two losses. Al Hilal lead the West Zone with 12 points.
