Al Duhail lost to Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia 1-2 in Round 1 of 2025-2026 AFC Champions League Elite at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Al Duhail took the lead through Adil Boulbina in the 38th minute, but Al Hilal equalized in the 57th minute through Darwin Nunez. Theo Hernandez then added a second goal for Al Hilal in the 67th minute.

Al Duhail played strongly especially in the first half.

However, things changed in the second half, with Al Hilal playing aggressively and imposing their control, thus securing their first three points in the tournament.
