Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 4 match against Al Sailiya.

“We had a good preparation period despite some absences and we played two friendly matches in which we gave opportunities to players who do not participate frequently. We are ready for the league resumption and we realize that Al Sailiya are tough opponents who have shown great fighting spirit in their previous matches.

“There are no easy matches in the league and we must play with complete seriousness and the highest level of concentration. Anyone who is thinking about the AFC Champions League match on Monday will not be ready to face Al Sailiya,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Rabeh Bousafi said, “The Al Sailiya match is the beginning of a return to the right path. The break was a positive step in correcting the mistakes the team made against Al Sadd.

“All league matches are difficult. Al Sailiya have good players, so we must focus and approach the match with complete seriousness.”
