Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 4 match against Qatar SC.

“Qatar SC are a great team that includes good players. They may have had bad results at the beginning of the league, but they are a good side. We want to get a win and collect three points. We want to do that so we continue on the winning path. But we know this will be a difficult match.

“Our preparations have continued well especially after the victory against Al Sailiya. The players played a good match in the second half last week. The working atmosphere in the team is very motivating and the players are looking to an improved performance and to achieve good results in the new season. We want to appear better technically.

“I am completely satisfied with the fitness level of the players and their performance during the matches so far. We achieved good results and won twice out of three matches despite the fact that we played difficult matches against the likes of Al Sailiya and Al Duhail. We were looking at nine point,s but having picked up six points is a positive sign. We want to progress from one round to another and to improve the team spirit among the players to appear in the best possible way,” said Younes.

Al Arabi player Yousef Muftah said, “There’s no doubt we are facing a tough opponent. We must remember they are coming off a bad result. As far as we are concerned, our ambition is three points from this match. Our team is improving from one game to another and that’s a good feeling. We must continue to look at top positions on the points table.

“The victory in the last round certainly gave us a boost ahead of the next match. We are ready for the Qatar SC challenge. We will take advantage of the confidence that is there within the squad. We will continue to work to improve the negative aspects that appeared in the last match.”
