Al Khor coach Winfried Schafer spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 3 match against Al Wakrah.

“In the previous match, everyone gave everything they had. Nobody was lacking in effort. We must build on this momentum in the next match against Al Wakrah. Team spirit is very important and more of it will lead us to a positive result.

“I am confident that my team will achieve excellent and positive results in the league. I hope to see our fans at the stadium as we need them greatly at this time. Giannis Fetfatzidis (Greek winger) is a great professional player. We know that he is very important. He is present and will certainly be playing,” said Schafer.

Al Khor player Saeed Brahimi said, “We are excited to play this match against Al Wakrah. We have worked to correct our mistakes in the previous match against Umm Salal. We ask God for success in this match.

“We are at the beginning of the league and we are missing a professional attacking player. Overall the players are ready and have the confidence for action in the coming days and weeks. We will not have an offensive problem despite our difficult start, but we are at the beginning of the league.”
