Al Shahania assistant coach Pejman Montazeri spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 21 match against Al Shamal.

“Unfortunately, we are at the end of the season and in last place. We played very well in the last match and I am proud of the players, but we did not get any points.

“We have a very difficult match against a team competing for the league title. I think the players understand the situation; we need the points and I believe the team is ready to fight. We will see what happens,” said Montazeri.

Al Shahania player Abdoulaye Traore said, “We have to work hard all week. We do not have many matches left. We must stick together and support each other to move forward.

“We are aware of our situation and the team’s situation, and we have a great responsibility. We will do our best to improve our position and fight for our chances.”
