Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 18 match against Qatar SC.

“Despite the current circumstances, the relative stability in Qatar has allowed the players to follow the training programme designed by the coaching staff. The players have adhered to the programme although their overall focus and enthusiasm have been somewhat diminished due to the current situation.

“We will strive to give our best. As I said, we are treating the remaining matches as finals. This match is as important as the others and we must exert every effort to win the points,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Jamal Hamad said, “Thank God, we are all safe here in Qatar and all our families are well, thank God. Now we are focused on the upcoming match on Thursday against Qatar SC. Preparation has been good because all players have adhered to the specific training programme we received from the club and the coaching staff.

“We have arrived at this match in good physical condition. We are preparing to secure the three points and we understand the importance of every match, as we only have five matches left until the end of the league.”
