Al Ahli coach Borja Jimenez spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 4 match against Al Rayyan.

“We are facing a major team known to everyone, Al Rayyan, which possess great technical ability and commands my full respect. However, in football, one must always give the best in every match to win and secure points.

“Al Ahli needed a win to regain confidence and continue performing well, an objective achieved in the last round against Qatar SC following a strong attacking display. My coaching staff and I have been working to further improve the team’s performance for the upcoming phase, especially as we aim to deliver our best level against Al Rayyan,” said Jimenez.

Al Ahli player Amin Tihi said, “We will give our all on the pitch against Al Rayyan. It will not be an easy match, given Al Rayyan’s strong performances and excellent results this season.

“Al Ahli would be a tough opponent and all players are focused on securing a victory in the match.”
