Al Wakrah coach Jose Sierra spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 4 match against Al Shamal.
“Our primary focus has been on player recovery and preparation. We hope we have prepared in the best possible way and can completely turn around the performance we delivered in the last game.
“First and foremost, I would like to apologize to the fans and the club for our recent performance. However, I believe that despite not winning the last two matches, we played very well from a technical and footballing standpoint.
“The goal for the upcoming match is to restore the team’s form and rectify past errors. We hope to correct the situation and change the narrative in the next game,” said Jose Sierra.
Al Wakrah player Amine Zahzouh said, “The team’s preparations faced significant challenges following our recent defeat.
“It will be a tough match in every aspect and across all areas of the pitch. We will strive with all our might to overcome this hurdle and secure the three points regardless of the difficulty while delivering a performance worthy of Al Wakrah club’s name and capabilities.”
