In preparation for the Play-Off match between Al Shahania (11th in Doha Bank Stars League standings) and Al Kharaitiyat (runners-up in Second Division) to be played at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium of Al Sadd club on Friday, May 8, 2026 (kick-off 7pm, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) held a Technical Meeting. It was attended by Mr. Ahmed Salman Al Adsani, Director of Competitions at QSL, Mr. Abdullah Al Balooshi, representing Qatar Football Association’s Referees Department, and representatives from both teams.

The meeting addressed organizational procedures and match guidelines, in addition to approving the official kits for both teams.

It was also reiterated that in the event of a draw, extra time will be played, consisting of two 15-minute periods. If the score remains tied after extra time, the match will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
