Al Shamal lost 1-2 to Al Rayyan in Round 7 of 2025-2026 season QSL Cup at the Al Gharafa Training Pitch 3 on Friday.

Al Shamal opened the scoring through Omar Ali in the 38th minute, before Al Rayyan bounced back through Roger Guedes, who accounted for both of their goals, getting the equaliser in the 50th minute before securing the winner with a penalty kick in the 57th minute, as they consolidated their lead in the standings.

With the result, Al Rayyan now advanced to 19 points, while Al Shamal, who were reduced to 10 men in the 85th minute after a red card offence, remained on 11 points.
