Al Rayyan were held to a 2-2 draw by Al Waab in Round 5 of 2025-2026 season QSL Cup at the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium of Al Gharafa club on Saturday.

Al Rayyan were almost cruising to victory after Wesley Ribeiro had put them ahead in the 59th minute until Mohammed Ismail restored parity for Al Waab in three minutes of added time.

Brazilian winger Ribeiro had earlier scored a beautiful equaliser for The Lions in the 54th minute following the Second Division League side’s stunning opener in the fifth minute through Abdulrahman Sher Khan.

With the result, Al Rayyan advanced to 10 points, while Al Waab moved to six points, having won one match and drawn three games.
