Al Ahli face Al Shamal in Week 9 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 17:15 at the Al Wakrah Stadium on Wednesday, 3rd November, 2021.

Al Ahli slipped from eighth to 10th in the standings with five points (five draws and three defeats) following their 1-4 loss to champions Al Sadd.

The Brigadiers, under Montenegrin Nebojsa Jovovic, have a goal difference of -5 (five goals for and 10 against).

Al Ahli and Al Sailiya both have five points, but the former are placed ahead on better goal difference, with that of Al Sailiya being -10.

Al Ahli, Umm Salal and Al Khor are the only teams yet to register a victory in this season’s league.

Promoted side Al Shamal made a big leap in the last round as they jumped from 11th to seventh with seven points following their 4-0 victory over Al Khor.

Hicham Jadrane-coached Al Shamal have two victories, one draw and five defeats against their name, and have a goal difference of -6 (12 goals for and 18 against).

Al Ahli have the players capable of delivering the goods.

Al Shamal rely on the attacking trio of Jordanian Bahaa Faisal, Colombian Jeison Escobar and talented youngster Nasser Al Nasr besides having the services of Mohsen Al Yazidi in the middle and the defensive duo of Mohammed Al Jabri and Mathias Nani.
