The Raffles Doha hotel hosted the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Awards ceremony for 2025-2026 season on Monday, May 11, 2026. The event was attended by a number of VIPs, guests, invitees, club presidents and representatives, technical and administrative staff, players and media representatives.

At the annual ceremony, the most outstanding achievements of the season were recognized. Awards included:

FOOTBALL FOR ALL AWARD

This award is given by the QFA Awards Board of Trustees to organisations or individuals making a significant contribution to promote the culture of football in society. ‘Match for Hope’ initiative received this award.

BEST FANS AWARD

This award was won by Al Sadd club, based on average fan attendance during the league and the established criteria for this award.

BEST REFEREES AWARD

Won by the quartet of:

Mohammed Al Mazeed (Best Referee)

Saoud Ahmed (Best Assistant Referee)

Yousef Aref (Best Assistant Referee)

Meshari Al Shammari (Best Video Assistant Referee – VAR)

MANSOUR MUFTAH AWARD (TOP SCORER)

Won by Al Rayyan’s Roger Guedes, who scored 21 goals in 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League.

BEST UNDER-23 PLAYER AWARD

Won by Al Gharafa’s Ayoub Al Oui, who received the highest percentage of votes, after competing with Mohamed Manai of Al Shamal and Mubarak Shanan of Al Duhail.

BEST GOALKEEPER AWARD

Won by Al Rayyan’s Mahmoud Abunada, who received the highest percentage of votes, after competing with Jassim Al Hail of Al Arabi and Meshaal Barsham of Al Sadd.

BEST COACH AWARD

Won by Al Shamal’s David Prats, who received the highest percentage of votes, after competing with Roberto Mancini of Al Sadd and Vicente Moreno of Al Rayyan.

BEST PLAYER AWARD

The Best Player Award was won by Al Sadd star Akram Afif, who continued his strong performance and outstanding contributions. He received the highest percentage of votes in the voting process, after competing with Baghdad Bounedjah of Al Shamal and Roger Guedes of Al Rayyan.

The Board of Trustees of QFA Awards congratulated all winners, and extended its gratitude to all those who attended the closing ceremony of 2025-2026 season.
