Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 20 match against Al Duhail.

“Our preparations have been ongoing with seriousness and high focus. I know our players are always striving to give their best, especially since we want to change the negative image we had presented in recent matches, as it does not reflect our identity or our capabilities. Therefore, we are disappointed, but we have a lot to achieve and we will strive to continue competing in the league. My team is fighting to return to its previous level.

“It is certainly an important match; it is like a derby, and winning this type of match is crucial. Al Duhail have achieved very good results in their last two matches, securing victories in both, and that makes a difference. We will play to win all three points,” said Martins.

Al Gharafa player Ferjani Sassi said, “Preparations for the Al Duhail match were normal. We will certainly be facing an excellent team, one of the best in Qatar. Preparations are normal, just like for any other match, and our goal is to secure the three points because we need them to keep competing. All players are ready and we will perform well and be up to the required standard.”
