Al Markhiya coach Poya Asbaghi spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Jetour League Week 4 match against Al Shamal Future.

“The team made good use of the international break, highlighting the quality of training sessions and the players’ commitment to maintaining a high level of readiness.

“Al Shamal Future have defensive solidity and the players are disciplined towards defensive duties, from the attack down to the goalkeeper, making it difficult to create chances or score. Facing such a team requires patience and a top-level performance to secure the win and the three points,” said Asbaghi.

Al Markhiya goalkeeper Robert Kwasigroch said, “Every match presents a challenge. Keeping a clean sheet requires defensive discipline and teamwork throughout the game, rather than relying solely on the goalkeeper’s efforts.”
