Al Shamal face Al Rayyan in Round 5 (Group A) of the 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Khor Stadium on Tuesday. The kick-off is at 18:10.

Al Ahli, Al Wakrah and Umm Salal are the other teams in Group A.

Al Shamal are third in the group table with four points.

Hicham Jadrane-coached side had opened their campaign with a 2-2 draw with against Al Ahli and defeated Al Wakrah 2-1 in Round 2.

This time around, Al Shamal have a tough task on hand as Al Rayyan are sure to go all out to register their first victory.

Al Rayyan are last in the standings and have yet to open their account.

Al Shamal were not in the action in the last round, whereas The Lions, coached by Frenchman Laurent Blanc, lost 1-2 to Umm Salal.
