Qatar SC coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Rayyan.

“Our match against Al Rayyan will be tough as we are facing one of the best teams in Doha Bank Stars League this season.

“We have prepared appropriately over the recent period and continue to work hard to deliver our best, ensuring the team is fully ready for this encounter.

“We are dealing with some absences and suspensions; unfortunately, we have not been able to field the same line-up in consecutive matches so far. We hope to overcome this, achieve stability in our squad selection and secure the results we are aiming for in the coming period,” said Lopez.

Qatar SC player Niall Mason said, “The match against Al Rayyan would not be easy, the team utilized the international break to work hard in preparation for our return to action and to strive for the best possible results.

“The break was important and beneficial for us; we trained well during that time. We hope to perform at our best in the upcoming period, especially given that this month features a series of consecutive matches where achieving strong results is essential.”
