Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 14 match against Umm Salal.

“This is a very important match, every point counts in the team’s journey to improve its position in the league table.

“Umm Salal have nothing to lose and will fight for the points to escape the relegation zone. With their players and capabilities, they will be tough opponents in the upcoming match.

“We played a difficult and long match against Qatar SC in the QSL Cup.

“We must prepare well for Umm Salal, our goal is not just to achieve a positive result, but to deliver a strong performance that ensures we maintain our positive results,” said Contra.

Al Arabi player Mohammed Khaled Al Nuaimi said, “All players are fully focused and eager to give their best and secure the three points.

“We are moving steadily towards the top and we are treating each match as if it is a final. Victory is our sole objective to continue our positive run.
