Al Markhiya beat Al Rayyan NextGen 2-0 in the third round of Jetour League at Al Thumama Stadium on Sunday to stay perfect.

It was Al Markhiya’s third straight win and took them to nine points, while Al Rayyan NextGen fell to a third successive loss.

Both of Al Markhiya’s goals were scored by Sofyan Cola. They went up the lead in the 35th minute as Cola picked on a through ball from Roger Martinez to rush in and beat a defender and rival goalkeeper alike.

Al Rayyan NextGen were then reduced to 10 men in added time of first half (40+6 minute), with Mohammed Saleh being sent off for pulling down a charging Yusupha Nije of Al Markhiya.

Cola added one more to their tally in 85th minute scoring off a rebound from goalkeeper Samy Beldi’s block after the former himself had initiated the move on a counter.
