Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 21 match against Umm Salal.

“We drew against Al Sadd, and of course, securing the draw in the final minutes was crucial. Al Sadd are a very good team, but Al Rayyan’s ambitions are high. Ultimately, we are not happy with the draw because we want to win every match and we need more training days to improve our performance.

“Every match is always difficult and important for us because Al Rayyan are a big club and must always win. It is very important that we win and maintain our winning streak. For Umm Salal, it will be a tough match as it is the last two of the season. I have great confidence in my team and that we will play well and win the three points, and then we will think about the matches that follow,” said Moreno.

Al Rayyan player Mostafa Essam said, “All players are ready to face Umm Salal in the 21st round of the Doha Bank Stars League. For us, this is a crucial and pivotal period in the season. We have more than one championship that we can secure this season in the last month or so.”
